I reported HERE that Harley-Davidson and HOG will be holding rides leading to a single rally in Milwaukee during the summer of 2017 to celebrate the Motor Company’s 115th Anniversary instead of HOG rallies. Representatives from HOG confirmed the 2019 rallies will still be Continue reading Regional HOG Rallies Will Return In 2019

Sacred Steel Bikes To Be Featured On the Discover Channel

Jason Wilson Sacred Steel Bikes
Jason Wilson will be featured on the new Discovery program Sacred Steel Bikes

For the past decade the Discovery Channel has made a living creating programs that provide a ground level view into the world of custom automotive fabrication. Shows like Fast n’ Loud, American Chopper, Motorcycle Mania, and Overhaulin’ have entertained world-wide audiences for the network. The newest addition to this line-up is “Sacred Steel Bikes”, a program following Jason Wilson and his shop “Sacred Steel” based out of East LA.

Wilson is a  part of the “Douche Larouche” team of bike builders and motorcycle enthusiasts. Together they collaborate to create world class, hand fabricated motorcycles including high end restorations and custom choppers. The show will no doubt provide insight into the tightly knit group of tradesmen, and self-proclaimed “motorcycle dorks” because Discovery has shown time and again, personality is a key part of any successful “reality show”.

The first episode airs Monday, September 12th at 10:00 pm Eastern Time, joining Fast N’ Loud on Discovery’s “Motor Mondays”.

Harley and The Davidsons Premieres Tonight on Discovery

Remember, Part 1 of “Harley and The Davidsons” premiers tonight on the Discover Channel. The three part series dramatically tells the story of Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s early race wars with Indian Motorcycles. Below is the announcement made in July:

Harley and The DavidsonsThe Discovery Channel has announced they will be premiering a new mini-series titled “Harley and the Davidsons” on September 5th. The film will chronicle the creation and rise of the Motor Company in 1903 to the historic creation of the Knucklehead motor in the mid-1930’s, including some of the great early flat track race wars with the Indian Motorcycle Company. It will use the tried and true formula of adding a dramatic fictional element to spice up actual historical events. Love it or hate this usually makes for an entertaining story.

I’m excited to catch this series because I love motorcycles, racing and the history of Harley-Davidson. Many people are not familiar with this part of the company’s history including it’s origin story. Continue reading Harley and The Davidsons Premieres Tonight on Discovery
