Victory has released the new 2017 Magnum, a bike designed for the rider who wants to tour in comfort and look good doing it. The Sport Touring class has become ultracompetitive and with this bike Victory establishes their place in the market. Right away you’ll notice the large 21″ Front wheel. The Magnum is the first production touring motorcycle to come equipped with that large of a wheel. It also has a low profile front fender that wraps the tire so closely that it looks custom made. The lines, and no doubt the handling, of the front end are also helped with the use of an inverted front fork.
The rear of the bike also carries unmistakable Victory styling. The saddlebags seem to flow into the tapered rear fender and extend over the mufflers, giving the backend a one piece look. This combined with a low 25.7 inch seat height maintain the sleek look of the bike. The low seat height is accomplished with a single, adjustable shock that allows 4.4 inches of travel.
Victory’s Magnum also features a 6 speaker, 100 watt high output sound system designed to be heard, even at interstate speeds. Like most modern touring bikes, the Magnum comes equipped with cruise control and anti-lock brakes (ABS). This bike carries the Victory overhead cam, 106 cubic inch, 1731 cc motor and 6-speed transmission which easily moves the bikes 800+ pounds down the road even at highway speeds.
With MSRP for the 2017 Magnum starting at $23,099 it is competitively priced.
